Cancellation & Refund Policy

Global Arthik Samajik Sahyog Samiti (GASSS)® is committed to transparency, accountability, and ethical practices in managing donations, fees, and payments received for its programs, workshops, events, and other activities. This Cancellation & Refund Policy is designed to provide clarity to donors, participants, and stakeholders about procedures, timelines, and conditions for processing refunds. The policy aligns with applicable Indian laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), ensuring legal compliance, protection of citizen rights, and ethical organizational conduct.

Scope of Policy:

This policy applies to all financial contributions, registration fees, participation charges, or other payments received online through secure payment gateways, as well as offline transactions related to GASSS programs, activities, and services. It ensures that stakeholders understand their rights and the organization’s responsibilities regarding cancellations, refunds, and corrections.

Collection of Payments:

All donations and participation fees collected by GASSS are processed securely through authorized payment systems. Donors or participants are requested to provide accurate and complete information including name, postal address, contact details, email address, and payment information. This ensures proper recording of contributions, issuing of receipts, tax exemption certificates (where applicable), and timely communication regarding organizational programs and updates. Personal information is handled in strict compliance with the organization’s Privacy Policy and relevant data protection laws.

Refund Eligibility and Conditions:

• Refund requests must be submitted in writing within 2 days of the transaction date.
• Requests should include proof of payment, transaction details, and any original receipts issued by GASSS.
• Refunds will be processed within 7 working days of receiving a valid request, subject to banking or payment gateway timelines.
• If a Tax Exemption Certificate has been issued for a donation, refunds will not be processed, except in cases of clear error on the organization’s part.
• Requests made after the 2-day period are not eligible for refund.
• GASSS reserves the right to approve or reject refund requests based on the compliance of submitted information, organizational policies, and legal obligations.
• Erroneous payments or duplicate contributions identified by GASSS may be refunded even if submitted beyond the standard timeline, after verification.

Refund Procedure:

To request a refund, donors or participants should send a written application to GASSS via email or post, including transaction reference, date, amount, and reason for the request. Original receipts or payment confirmations must be attached. GASSS will verify the request, validate documentation, and process the refund using the original mode of payment wherever possible. Any processing fees or banking charges incurred will be borne by GASSS in case of organizational errors. Donors will be notified via email or phone once the refund has been initiated.

Privacy and Confidentiality:

GASSS maintains strict confidentiality of all donor, participant, and volunteer information. Personal data collected for processing payments, refunds, or participation records will not be sold, shared, or rented to any third party. Information is used solely for administrative purposes, including issuing receipts, responding to queries, providing updates about programs, and ensuring lawful compliance. All processing of personal information adheres to the organization’s Privacy Policy and applicable Indian laws, including the IT Act and IPC provisions related to cyber security and data protection.
